Gracelyn's Last Day at Parkridge Elementary

To help her say goodbye to all her new friends in Kindergarten, Josh and I brought cupcakes into Gracelyn's classroom on her last day. It was so fun to see all the friends she had made in such a short time. Some of them genuinely seemed sad to say goodbye to her. Her teacher was so sweet and made a journal of all the writing assignments that Gracelyn completed and also had each of the students draw Gracelyn a picture and write something that they liked about her on the back. She was so thrilled and has looked through it at least one hundred times! When I first asked if anyone wanted to take a picture with Gracelyn, these 4 boys hopped out of their seats and practically ran to her! We were laughing so hard! (And for those of you who have heard the stories about Eric...guess who's right beside her in the black shirt! Ha!) It was hard to watch her say goodbye to a class that she loved so much, but we are excited to see what her Kindergarten class will be like here (once we decide where to send her ...which is a work in progress!)
